"The Cupertino Bubble: Technological and Ethnic Influences on Students' Attitudes Towards Education" is a case study on Cupertino, CA to investigate its microculture, or "bubble", born out of an Asian ethnic enclave, tech boom, and the American Dream. My research paper will then combine a historical analysis and in-depth interviews of students' experiences, in order to analyze and evaluate how Cupertino students' views and expectations toward higher education are shaped by factors such as the corporate mindset, ethnocultural values, and an aspirational culture. Cupertino's "bubble" creates a unique environment for examining how cultural contexts influence attitudes on higher education, and provides an archetype for how innovation and diversity might intersect with education.
