My project is a research paper analyzing direct and indirect interventions of Chinese government on internet through a feminist lens. Chinese Government has firm control on Chinese internet not only through blocking, censorship, deleting, but also through government owned newspapers and companies. I analyze how these interventions result in the general public’s misperceptions and lack of understanding on feminism in China through two case studies.
